A Bridge between Faith and Evidence-Based Practice
Christian therapy online in California, with a licensed psychologist
Dr. Plant combines Christian faith with therapies that have strong research behind them. You get clinical care held to a professional standard, and a therapist who understands what your faith means to you.
What faith integration looks like
You set how much
Some clients want prayer and Scripture in sessions. Others simply want a therapist who won’t dismiss their faith. You decide.
Spiritual questions are welcome
Doubt, guilt, anger at God, moral injury and hurt in church settings are all part of the work.
Evidence comes first
CBT and ACT are used just as they would be for any client. Faith supports treatment; it doesn’t replace it.
Who this is for
Adults who want their faith to be part of healing, including those whose faith is shaken right now.
- Believers facing anxiety, depression or trauma
- Christians wrestling with doubt or spiritual struggle
- People hurt in a church or ministry setting
- Pastors and ministry leaders who need care themselves
- Anyone who wants to be understood, not converted

Questions about Christian therapy
Is this pastoral counseling?
No. Dr. Plant is a licensed clinical psychologist providing therapy. Faith is integrated into clinical care, not in place of it.
Will insurance cover it?
Yes, when therapy treats a diagnosed condition. Christian-integrated therapy is billed the same way as any therapy.
Do you work with people from any denomination?
Yes. Clients from many Christian traditions are welcome, as are people unsure where they stand.
